The Galaxy A17 delivers three things almost nothing else in its price range offers together: a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, optical image stabilisation on the main camera, and a promise of up to six major Android upgrades. It is built to be worth keeping for years, not replaced next season.
A genuine Super AMOLED, not an LCDThe 6.7-inch Super AMOLED runs Full HD+ at 1080 x 2340 and 385 ppi, with a 90Hz refresh rate. Blacks are true black, colours are rich, and text is noticeably sharper than the 720p LCD panels most rivals use at this price. This is the single clearest upgrade over cheaper phones.
Optical stabilisation on the main cameraThe 50MP f/1.8 main camera includes OIS, which physically counteracts hand shake. Low-light photos come out sharper and video stays steady while you walk.
